Moonsick Menstrual Cups is a fictitious company with branding that reimagines advertising and design related to menstrual products. In an industry typically focused on discretion and influenced by a broader culture of shame around menstruation, Moonsick offers acknowledgement and support. 

A package design was created for the menstrual cups with the goals of capturing the viewer’s attention, leaving a lasting impression, and sparking conversation. To achieve these goals, the design uses styles and imagery most consumers wouldn’t expect to see in the feminine product aisle: an explicit representation of blood using the color red, and sharp, angular illustrations. Once interest is piqued, the design uses a sense of humor and empathetic but direct language to build a positive association with the brand.
